How do I reserve one of your properties for my TDY?

Please fill out the form on the RESERVE page and we will be in touch! We will next ask you to fill out a quick Google Form and join Tenant Cloud to sign the rental agreement. We operate on a first come, first to fill out the paperwork basis! No deposit required for FLETC renters.

What is Tenant Cloud?

Tenant Cloud is an online, cloud-based, software program we use to manage our renters. Most importantly for FLETC renters, it provides an easy and safe way to collect rent payment via your government-issued credit card! You can also download a receipt to turn into your agency.

What is your pet policy?

We are pet lovers and thus have tried to make sure that FLETC instructors can bring their furry friends to St. Simons during their TDY.

Generally, all of our properties are pet-friendly. However, Owners need a little reassurance in case something happens. Thus, we require a $250 refundable deposit, per pet. Most homes have a limit of two pets (please let us know how many pets you are bringing; some homes will allow more than two). The pet deposit is held in an escrow account until your departure. If there is no damage from your pet, your deposit will be returned to you. Pet deposits cannot be placed on your government credit card.

We kindly ask that you be respectful pet owners. Please keep up after your dog(s) in the yard, clean up any messes inside the home, and if something is broken or damaged please just be honest about it.

What is included in the per diem rate?

We charge the full government per diem. This daily charge, which fluctuates with the seasons, includes your rent, all utilities, internet/wifi, streaming TV, landscaping, and quarterly pest control (welcome to Southeast Georgia… we have a lot of bugs down here!).

Why can’t you give me an exact move-in date:

Dillon Crew strives to move-in new renters on their requested date.  However, in working with government/FLETC renters, we have found that we are not always able to honor this request due to the present/prior renter's end of TDY orders.  Occasionally, the end of their TDY does not perfectly coincide with the beginning of the next TDY start date.  Dillon Crew asks that you find alternate housing for the first few days or weeks if needed, in a local hotel.  As soon as the property is ready, we will hand over keys!   Similarly, if your TDY is extended, we will NOT rent out the property from under you.

Can I extend my stay:

Definitely! If your orders are extended, please notify Dillon Crew as soon as possible.  We are happy to extend your stay for as long as you need the property.

What do I need to bring? What is included in the rental property?

Just pack your swimsuit! Each property is fully furnished. Kitchens are totally stocked with pots and pans and everything else you’d need to make and serve dinner. Each property has at least two televisions with streaming capabilities and/or basic cable. Linens and towels are provided. Some properties include bicycles and/or beach equipment. If you arrive and feel the property is missing something that would benefit both you and future renters, just let us know — we are happy to accommodate!

What if the government shuts down? Or my orders change suddenly? Or there’s a hurricane?

Don’t worry, we have weathered that storm before. We know we operate at the mercy of the government. Should something come up that requires you to depart early please just let us know immediately.

Can I come and go as I please, like at a hotel:

No, not really. Once you’ve booked a stay in one of our properties, the Owners are expecting you to pay for all of those nights (unless your orders change). If you leave town for a weekend, you’re still expected to pay for those nights. We cannot rent out the home for the few nights you aren’t there.

As a renter, what are my responsibilities?

Your responsibilities are to settle in and enjoy living in St. Simons! But we also ask that you be a respectful neighbor, a considerate pet owner, and maintain the home so as to leave it in the same condition as you found it. Please try to keep the home tidy; we provide a vacuum and some cleaning supplies for your stay. If you’d like regular cleaning services, we can help you to arrange that (at your expense). You don’t need to do yard work, but we’ll give you a leaf blower and ask that you report any major landscaping needs. If something breaks, let us know ASAP so we can work to resolve it quickly.
